Activities - To achieve this competency, I:

• During my early education with my grandmother, was trained to employ principles of art to represent images through media of oil and water paints, sketching pencils, and charcoal.
• Painted for revenue for several years
• Continue to draw regularly - particularly small studies in a small sketchbook
• Illustrated stories
• Diagram and illustrate presentations with original art

Outcomes - As a result of this learning I can:

• Use various media and artistic instruments to design and present images that represent a perspective on real objects and scenes.
• Recreate photographic and other images using pencil or paint
• Apply thematic elements to artistic work
• Apply personal style to artistic work
