    Part-time employment --> Instructor - Web Design and Portfolio

Organization/Context: NSCC - IT Campus

Reflection - In the Fall of 2008 I offered to facilitate a course in Web Development for the Institute of Technology Campus of NSCC. Embedded in that course is the Portfolio Development course prescribed by the department. My duties included development of a teaching/learning workplan, preparation and delivery of weekly classes in website (HTML/XHTML) design and portfolio development, formative and summative assessment of learner perfromance, and classroom and learning management.

This was a great opportunity to return to the classroom to ground my work in the learning process. It was also a good opportunity to integrate learning methods, theories and technologies I had been studying somewhat abstractly in an applied format. Feedback from both students and my supervisor were very positive.
