Organization/Context: NorthSeas Software, Inc.

Reflection - As President & CEO of NorthSeas, I created the original plan with two partners and then later launched the corporate form with my wife and a colleague from the firm where I worked in PEI.

In addition to securing funding and handling the legal and legislative issues, over the five years of its existence I also handled marketing, HR, technical management, and partner development. The latter was probably the most significant part of the experience as it was through partnerships that the firm had its greatest successes. That ability to develop partnerships has come to the fore time and again both in private and public life.
