Goal --> NSCC: Develop and Facilitate Program Renewal Orientation
Reflection - With an emphasis on implementation of a rigorous process for renewal in 2009, staff assigned to lead school renewals will be prepared through an orientation and renewal planning workshop to carry through the process as described in the framework and evolving process documentation.

Challenges: Balance Dean/School-required competencies with overall College/Academic Services competencies Maintain scope of materials at appropriate level for renewal - not for professional Business Analysis Process is not mature and metrics are still very rough Developing materials that can be re-used or re-purposed for different stakeholders in the process (e.g. Academic Chairs, Curriculum Consultants, Faculty, Renewal Leads, etc.)
Action Plan: Gather materials and draft plan for orientation Bring IR, Academic Planning staff, and appropriate representation of School and Curriculum leadership together to discuss competencies and outcomes Engage/invite CCEDP (Brian Dewey?) to contribute to design and content Explain process and workflow Brainstorm competencies Organize competencies into modules Elicit commitments to develop modules Gather completed modules and develop into course/ workshop prospectus Collect learning activities and materials together in course site (either Moodel, SharePoint of TLM) Identify participants from 2009-10 Renewal Work Plan Schedule workshop and send invitations Complete workshop Gather feedback on workshop Modify workshop for future delivery
