Goal
     --> Developing Facilitators

Reflection - I would like to have the opportunity to help develop teacher/facilitators in a professional development environment. In particular, I would like to advance some of the approaches to self-directed professional portfolio to adult education instructors at colleges or universities.

Target Date: 1/1/2007

Resources: masters degree in IT Education and undergraduate degree in adult education
several years of training the trainer experience
experience in CCEDP delivery
assistant to Dr. Eileen Gear-Bragg on self-directed professional development portfolio

Challenges: current position may not be seen as appropriate to such influence
need an environment where academic development is taken seriously and resourced well

Action Plan: compete for appropriate positions at NSCC or elsewhere
establish tools and techniques for facilitation training
recruit faculty who are trained in facilitation
develop facilitator workshop series for videoconference and online learning
