Combination --> Conduct Industry Research and Liaison
Activities - To achieve this competency, I:
- Completed research courses in undergraduate and post graduate degrees
- Attended numerous industry conferences
- Provide NSCC leadership to faculty and work with Institutional Research and others in gathering and maintaining information on industry trends and labour market information to ensure that curriculum is current to the needs of industry
- Conduct or support research on trends and activities within relevant industries to ensure that the School is responding with appropriate programming
- Conduct or support industry-college relations through program advisory panels, focus groups, symposia, conferences and meetings
- Represent the college and the school at industry association meetings
- Conduct or support research into industry-related accreditation and certification.
Outcomes - As a result of this learning I can:
- Provide leadership in research gathering on industry issues
- Provide analysis and discussion ion industry trends and needs
- Develop effective relationships between the college and industry stakeholders
