    Full-time employment --> Project Coordinator - eBusiness Training

Organization/Context: NSCC, School of Business

Reflection - As Project Coordinator for eBusiness Training at NSCC, I was asked to lead a project to conduct research and prepare a feasibility study for eBusiness Training at the college. My work included developing and implementing a quality assurance plan for program development, secondary and primary research, and publishing and presenting a feasibility document for an eBusiness Advanced Diploma. I was later asked to participate in redevelopment of that material for delivery to a small business outreach program.

In order to accomplish this feasibility research and to draft programming for eBusiness, I collaborated with a team of internal staff including curriculum consultants, an alternate delivery manager, a Business faculty member, a coordinator for part-time training and the Dean of School who formed the steering committee. I also brought together other internal and external stakeholders such as faculty and industry professionals to help develop the needs analysis, SWOT and draft programming.

Although the programming (an Advanced Diploma) did not run in the format anticipated, it was used extensively in the delivery of community-based small business training in the Western Valley several years later. The curriculum continues to maintain relevance and salability and interest has been shown by other customized training units.
