Activities - To achieve this competency, I:
- Completed Organizational Behaviour and Management courses at Memorial University as part of Business Diploma program
- Taught Business Policy and Procedure courses at Cabot College and Holland College
- Act as liaison with campuses, other academic schools and divisions of the College such as Customized Training and Continuing Education, CCEDP and NSCC Online Learning
- Represent the School on College committees
- Conduct or support development of articulation agreements with other educational institutions
- Provide interdepartmental support and advice in matters dealing with the school’s programs
- Develop a network of practitioners, educators and instructional design specialists
- Lead initiatives within the Academic Planning and Development committee to ensure cooperation, collaboration and consistency across the Academic Schools
Outcomes - As a result of this learning I can:
- Examine and discuss organizational policy and its impact on development fop procedures
- Develop procedures based on organizational policy, company mission and values
- Examine institutional ethics and discuss the impact and implementation of policy
- Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop effective relationships with complementary institutions
